How do I book a trip?

Booking a trip is easy! Call, Email Or use the form on the Contact page to check availability and discuss the best options for your experience level and goals.

What's included in a guided trip?

All guided trips include expert instruction, access to top fishing locations, flies, and necessary terminal tackle. We also provide rods and reels if needed. Waders and boots may be available upon request.

What should I bring?

We recommend bringing:

• A valid California fishing license

• Polarized sunglasses

• Weather-appropriate clothing (layers are best!)

• Hat and sunscreen

• Any personal gear you prefer to use

• Snacks and water (we'll let you know if meals are provided)

Do you offer group trips or private clinics?

Yes! We specialize in both private and small-group clinics, including personalized instruction for anglers of all skill levels. Contact us for details on custom clinics.

Payments & Deposits

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept:

Is a deposit required?

Yes, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your trip. The remaining balance is due on the day of the trip.

What types of fish can I catch?

Depending on the time of year and location, you can target wild trout, steelhead, striped bass, and more. Northern California offers some of the best and most diverse fly fishing opportunities in the world.

Where do you guide?

We guide across Northern California's best waters, including:

• Small mountain creeks

• Tailwaters like the Lower Sacramento

• Freestone rivers full of wild trout

• Prime steelhead runs

Do I need prior fly fishing experience?

Not at all! We guide everyone from first-timers to experienced anglers. Our instruction is tailored to your skill level, so whether you're looking to learn the basics or refine advanced techniques, we've got you covered.

Policies & Cancellations

What's your cancellation policy?

• Cancellations 14+ days before the trip: Full refund or reschedule at no cost.

• Cancellations 7-13 days before the trip: 50% of the trip cost is forfeited unless rescheduled.

• Cancellations less than 7 days before the trip: Full trip cost is forfeited unless we rebook the date.

Do you operate year-round?

Yes! Northern California offers excellent fishing opportunities throughout the year. While conditions vary by season, there's always something biting.

Are trips weather-dependent?

We fish in most weather conditions, but if extreme weather or unsafe conditions arise, we'll work with you to reschedule.

Miscellaneous

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes! A guided fly fishing trip makes a great gift for any angler. Contact us to purchase a gift certificate.

How can I prepare for my trip?

We recommend reviewing basic casting techniques, checking the weather forecast, and reaching out with any questions beforehand. If you're new to fly fishing, don't worry, we'll go over everything you need to know on the water.
